Raleigh Day 2

Necole and I have really enjoyed being back in Raleigh and connecting with old friends.

  • We hung out with Matt Stevens who is an Elder and Worship Pastor at Vintage 21. Loved his heart and humility.
  • Then we did lunch with Tyler Jones. Tyler is a good friend who always challenges me. Which I think is vital to leadership development. Again, I love Tyler’s heart for the gospel and the city of Raleigh. It’s refreshing and important. He deeply bleeds for this city. I love it. Vintage 21 is a great church planting story. Lot’s of hard work, sweat and tears.
  • We also got to hang with Bill & Marcia Gross from Hope Chapel. It was great to reconnect with them and hear what God is doing through Hope Chapel. I really enjoyed Bill’s humility (do you see a pattern here) and passion for the church and the next generation.
  • Last night we got to hang with John and Jodi Wahba and their son Boston. (Boston is 2 and drums better then me-sigh)  Wahba is the worship leader at Hope Chapel and Jodi is a Prof. at NC State. It was great to spend time with them, laugh, drink coffee and relax.
One more day then we head back to Austin. Miss my girls and I can’t wait to see them.
